Subtraction with 1

If we subtract any number with 1, we will get the previous smaller number.

For Example:
⟹ 13 – 1 = 12

Understand subtraction using number line

In the above number line, we start from number 13. As we have to subtract the number by 1, we take 1 jump towards to reach 12.

Hence when we subtract number 13 with 1, we get previous smaller number 12.
