To understand the above illustration, follow the following steps

Step A:
Start with number 0

Step B:
Move forward & skip the number by 8
⟹ 0 + 8 = 8
Now we are at number 8 on number line

Step C:
Again Move Forward by skipping number by 8 from current position
⟹ 8 + 8 = 16
We are standing at number 16 on number line

Step D:
Repeat Step C again and again
⟹ 16 + 8 = 24
⟹ 24 + 8 = 32
⟹ 32 + 8 = 40

The process continues repeatedly and we will get following numbers
