In this section we will discuss the questions of cubes and dice which is important section of logical reasoning syllabus. These questions are extremely important as they are repeatedly asked in quantitative aptitude exams.
All the questions are solved step by step with the use of image illustration so that you can have proper understanding of the concept.
Cubes Questions- Logical Reasoning
Q1. Four forms of a dice are shown below. In this dice which word will be on the surface opposite to the word D?
Solution-In this type of question we choose two such dice which have two common elements
Here we have to choose an alphabet which is opposite to word D
So we choose second and third dice for our solution
In both dices E and C are common, so the word opposite to D should be A
So here A is our answer
Q2. If a dice thrown four times and different forms of dice are shown below. In this dice which digit will be on the surface opposite to the digit 2?
Solution-In this type of question we choose two such dice which have two common elements
Here we have to choose an number which is opposite to digit 2 So we choose second and third dice for our solution
In both dices 3 and 4 are common, so the number opposite to 2 should be 5
So here 5 is our answer
Q3. Four forms of a dice are shown below in this dice which digit will be on the surface opposite to the digit 4 ?
Solution-In this type of question we choose two such dice which have two common elements
Here we have to choose a number which is opposite to digit 4
So we choose second and third dice for our solution
In both dices 5 and 6 are common, so the number opposite to 4 should be 1
So here 1 is our answer
Q4. Four forms of a dice are shown below. In this dice, addition of it’s two opposite surface is 7. Which will be the right form of this dice in given forms?
Solution-This is a question of standard dice in which every opposite surface sum is equal to 7
So in this question we have to find out the dice which is standard dice and not a general dice( whose adjacent surface have sum 7)
so option(a) first dice is our answer
Q5. Four forms of a dice are shown below. In this dice which digit will be on the surface opposite to the digit 1?
Solution-In this type of question we choose two such dice which have two common elements
Here we have to choose a number which is opposite to digit 1 So we choose second and third dice for our solution
In both dices 5 and 2 digits are common, so the number opposite to 1 should be 6
So here 6 is our answer
Q6. Four forms of a dice are shown below. In this dice which digit will be on the surface opposite to the digit 4?
Solution-In this type of question we choose two such dice which have two common elements
Here we have to choose a digit which is opposite to digit 4
So we choose second and third dice for our solution which have two common element
In both dices E and C are common, so the word opposite to D should be A
So here 1 is our answer
Q7. If in a dice it’s two opposite surface addition is 7. Which is the right form of this dice shown below?
Solution-This is a question of standard dice in which every opposite surface sum of dice is equal to 7
So in this question we have to find out the dice which is standard dice and not a general dice( whose adjacent surface have sum 7)
So in our third dice sum of any adjacent surface is not equal to 7 that means it is a standard dice.
so option(c) third dice is our answer.
Q8. Three forms of a dice are shown below. In this side which digit will be on the surface opposite to the digit 3?
Solution-In this question we have to find the digit opposite to digit 3
So we check which digits are adjacent to digit 3
So here from first, second and third dice digits 1, 2, 5, 4 are adjacent to digit 3
It means they can never be opposite to digit 3
So 6 is our answer
Q9. Which figure we can make the given figure
F will be opposite of B
E will be opposite of C
A will be opposite of D
Solution-This type of question can be solve by elimination method
That is from given first point F will be opposite of B that means F can not be adjacent to B so eliminate option (a)
From next point E will be opposite of C so eliminate option (c)
And the last point A will be opposite of D so eliminate option (d)
So at last we get option (b) as our answer
Q10. Question figure
C will be opposite of F
B will be opposite of D
A will be opposite of E
Solution-This type of question can be solve by elimination method
That is from given first point C will be opposite of F that means F can not be adjacent to C so here we don’t get C adjacent to F in any dice
From next point B will be opposite of D so eliminate option (c)
And the last point A will be opposite of E so eliminate option (a)
So at last we get option (d) that is dice( b) and (d) as our answer
