Coding & Decoding solved questions

This post is all about coding & decoding problems which is an important part of non verbal ability syllabus. In this chapter, the questions involve finding the relations between the different words/parameter and then finding the suitable math for the question asked.

(Q1)  If ‘white’ is called ‘blue’, ‘blue’ is called ‘red’, ‘red’ is called ‘yellow’, ‘yellow’ is called ‘green’, ‘green’ is called ‘black’, ‘black’ is called ‘violet’ and ‘violet’ is called ‘orange’, what would be the color of human blood ?

 (a) Red          (b) Green

(c) Yellow      (d) Violet

Solution-Here we first write the sequence of all given colors

Here  we have to find  the color of human blood which is red
So here red represent yellow color
Hence yellow is our answer             

Q2.  If ‘pen’ is ‘table’, ‘table’ is ‘fan’, ‘fan’ is ‘chair’ and ‘chair’ is ‘roof’, on which of the following will a person sit ?

(a) Fan           (b) Chair

(c) Roof         (d) Table

here we have to find where person will sit
so it seats on chair and here chair represents roof

Q3.  If ‘bat’ is ‘racket’, ‘racket’ is ‘football’, ‘football’ is ‘shuttle’, ‘shuttle’ is ‘ludo’ and ‘ludo’ is ‘carrom’, what is cricket played with ?

(a)Racket      (b) Football

(c) Bat            (d) Shuttle
