Class 6 Maths – Exercise 2.3- Question 01 to 03

(3). If the product of two whole numbers is 1, can we say that one or both of them will be 1? Justify through examples.

Sol.
If any number is multiplied with 1, it gives the same number.
Example –
6 x 1 = 6
2 x 1 = 22

But, if 1 is multiplied with 1, then only it gives 1.
1 x 1 = 1 Therefore, if the product of two whole numbers is 1, then both of them need to be 1.            Ans
